Maintaing a high level of service delivery

Natural weather effects can cause unprecedented damage to the power network.  SMC Monitoring Centres can be supported by UPS systems and Diesel generators.

Our 24 Hour in-house technical support allows quick response to local issues.

SMC has stringent maintenance programs, allowing the highest of service delivery to your customers.

There are cases where and unavoidable disasters happen, but this shouldn't affect the service delivery to our customers.  SMC maintains two Grade A1 Monitoring Centres which comply with the stringent Australian Standard (AS2201.2).  These centres are fully equipped in the event of a major technicial or natural disaster so the customers monitoring can be maintained for the longest time possible.

Monitoring and incoming calls can be switched between either Monitoring Centre within minutes, allowing a continous level of service delivery .

The SMC 24 hour in-house technical teams, located nationally are available to respond to any fault, to help avoid any unnecessary downtime.

To comply with the Australian Standard, both Monitoring Centres are required to maintain and have at the ready, a self contained uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and sufficient fuel reserves onsite to support the continous operation of the diesel generators for a minimum of 12 hours, before refuelling is necessary.

SMC takes its infrastructure very seriously, and undertakes strict maintenance and testing procedures to provide a high level of service delivery around the clock for your customers.
